We used a better algorithm for image compression. The jpegs on the pictures page now download much faster!

We technically redesigned all pages because there seemed to be some problems with certain versions of MS IE. There remains a problem with iCab, in which the javascripts do not work properly.
We have, at the same time, added a music and books page where you can actually listen on-line to popular music from the Bas-Congo province. We also added some book suggestions for further reading.

The picture page has been updated with some very recent and some (very) old pictures. Be patient when loading the page, because it is certainly worth the waiting!

In fact, we started this website in october 1998. So everything is new! If you would find any dead links or other problems with this website, please let us now using the feedback form.
In this very moment, the travel and stay pages and the yellow pages are not quite elaborated yet. A map of Matadi and its surroundings will soon be placed on the maps page, and we will add some more pictures on the pictures page one of these days.
